Prudence Improvement Association

Friday Night Bingo: June 2nd through September 8th, 2023. Doors open at 7pm, calling starts at 8pm. PIA members: $20 per packet, add $3 for a one-day membership for non-members. For more information visit their website.
Annual PIA Meeting: June 17th at 9am. Open to all PIA members. On the agenda: upcoming fundraisers, hall rentals with Covid-19 restrictions, PYO events, and elections for Vice President, Treasurer, and an executive committee member.
PYO Tuesday Game Night: Starts June 27th 2023
PYO Wednesday Movie Night: Starts June 28th 2023
Chowder & Stuffie Cookoff: July 8th. The long awaited Chowder & Stuffie Cookoff is back! Get your recipes and start perfecting the winning recipe. There is no entry fee for this event, a registration form will be posted online. There will also be raffles, penny social tables, and a 50/50 raffle. If you are interested in helping with fundraising or donating, see a board member.
The PYO Craft Fair: July 15th 9am to 12pm. Interested vendors should download the form online or contact a PIA board member. Discounted vendor rate for PIA members!
The Members Sunset Cruise is back on for August 5th. This year the cruise will be up towards Providence River, weather permitting. Cash bar on board. Ticket sales through the PIA on sale July 1st until sold out.
Bingo Blast: September 30th at 12pm. $50 buy-in. PYO will be open for lunch. Must be 18 or older.
Halloween Potluck Party: October 28th at 6pm. For all ages, costumes are encouraged.

The Prudence Island 4th of July Parade. The parade steps off from the corner of Madison and Daniels Ave at 10:30 AM.

Prudence Conservancy & Farnham Farm Trustees

The Farnham Farm camps are back on for summer 2023! Please pre-register children for camps. Contact Katey via text/call at 401-633-5628 to register your child for camp.
Monday Camp: Run in cooperation with NBNERR. Free! Every Monday starting June 26th from 9 – 11 AM. (No camp on July 31st).
Wednesday Farm Camp: Free! Every Wednesday starting June 28th from 9 – 11 AM at the Farnham Farm.
The Community Garden is open.
Berry picking will be open! Dates and times will be shared when the berries are ready.

PIHPS Museum opening day is Friday May 26, 2023 from 5 – 7 PM!
The PIHPS Museum seasonal hours are Saturdays Noon – 2:00 PM & Sundays 1:00 – 3:00 PM. Check their website for current times.

Homestead Improvement Association & Library

The Prudence Island Library is open seasonally. Monday – Friday from 10:00 AM to noon.
Children’s Story Hour will be held on Tuesday’s at 10:00 AM.
“The Little PI Library” out by the street in front of the library is open and stocked with books to borrow for all ages. Please return after reading.

The Annual Sustainable Fishing Contest is on for 2023! The contest will be held at the T-Wharf on August 20th from 11 AM to 1:00 PM.
